Why An Online Partner Could Be The Best Choice For Marriage?

Keywords:

dating, online dating, seduction, love, relationships, marriage, foreign brides

Article Body:

Selecting a mate should be the most crucial

decision of our lives. But if it happens to fell

in love we all are forgetting about any decision.

We are like hypnotized, and even if our friends,

family and even our ration is telling us that the

person we love is not a good choice for us, we

don give any importance to this.

All what you know when you are deeply in love

with someone is that you want her/him to be with

you, as closer as it could be, and as longer as

it could be. What is the answer to these

expectations? You already know it: MARRIAGE!

What happen after the marriage? In honeymoon all

things go great: the hotel room is clean, the

food at the restaurant is great and even if it

isn, it is nobody faults. Am I right?

But after this period you two had a lot of time

together, things are starting to change. You

start to see that your husband/wife doesn use a

very elevate vocabulary, maybe she/he is not very

interested in making a career like you supposed

to, and eventually he/she has not to many

qualities that you have expected in your life

partner. You wake up from that state of hypnosis,

you are starting to panic and argues are starting

to be more and more frequent. It takes a good

amount of time since you can accept that you have

made a mistake. What next? Divorce I suppose.

What I mean to tell is that romantic love is a

poor basis for a marriage. In a long relationship,

romance, sex and passion are pretty different to

how they are in the initial states.

We should spend a huge amount of time and energy

trying to find that special someone. We should

know closer someone before falling in love, and

ONLINE DATING is giving us this possibility.

By talking online we are protected of falling in

love too deeply because the real chemistry can

happen only when we are meeting someone face to

face, when we can see his/her smile, when we can

touch his/her skin, when we can feel his/her

smell.

In these conditions we are not missing the "

decision" part, that moment when we are following

our ration not our instincts. I am not saying

that we should not follow our intuition or

instincts but we never forget completely about

our ration. Ration is what makes a difference

between human beings and animals.

Animals are making choices too by following their

instincts only, but they are not having any bills

to pay and neither have to find a subject to

discus about while are taking the dinner. :)

So protect yourself from falling in love with an

inappropriate person, take the time to browse

some online profiles and you will see how many

opportunities you have. There are thousands of

singles and some of them have those qualities you

expect your future life partner to have. Just

find your perfect match!

7 Ways To Improve Your Relationship

Good relationships don just happen. Ie heard many of my clients state that, f I have to work at it, then it not the right relationship.?This is not a true statement, any more than it true that you don have to work at good physical health through exercise, eating well, and stress reduction.

Ie discovered, in the 35 years that Ie been counseling couples, 7 choices you can make that will not only improve your relationship, but can turn a failing relationship into a successful one.

TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOURSELF

This is the most important choice you can make to improve your relationship. This means that you learn how to take responsibility for your own feelings and needs. This means that instead of trying to get your partner to make you feel happy and secure, you learn how to do this for yourself through your own thoughts and actions. This means learning to treat yourself with kindness, caring, compassion, and acceptance instead of self-judgment. Self-judgment will always make you feel unhappy and insecure, no matter how wonderfully your partner is treating you.

For example, instead of getting angry at your partner for your feelings of abandonment when he or she is late, preoccupied and not listening to you, not turned on sexually, and so on, you would explore your own feelings of abandonment and discover how you might be abandoning yourself.

When you learn how to take full, 100% responsibility for yourself, then you stop blaming your partner for your upsets. Since blaming one partner for one own unhappiness is the number one cause of relationship problems, learning how to take loving care of yourself is vital to a good relationship.

KINDNESS, COMPASSION, ACCEPTANCE

Treat others the way you want to be treated. This is the essence of a truly spiritual life. We all yearn to be treated lovingly ?with kindness, compassion, understanding, and acceptance. We need to treat ourselves this way, and we need to treat our partner and others this way. Relationships flourish when both people treat each other with kindness. While there are no guarantees, often treating another with kindness brings kindness in return. If your partner is consistently angry, judgmental, uncaring and unkind, then you need to focus on what would be loving to yourself rather than reverting to anger, blame, judgment, withdrawal, resistance, or compliance. Kindness to others does not mean sacrificing yourself. Always remember that taking responsibility for yourself rather than blaming others is the most important thing you can do. If you are consistently kind to yourself and your partner, and your partner is consistently angry, blaming, withdrawn and unavailable, then you either have to accept a distant relationship, or you need to leave the relationship. You cannot make your partner change ?you can only change yourself.

LEARNING INSTEAD OF CONTROLLING

When conflict occurs, you always have two choices regarding how to handle the conflict: you can open to learning about yourself and your partner and discover the deeper issues of the conflict, or you can try to win, or at least not lose, through some form of controlling behavior. Wee all learning many overt and subtle ways of trying to control others into behaving the way we want: anger, blame, judgment, niceness, compliance, caretaking, resistance, withdrawal of love, explaining, teaching, defending, lying, denying, and so on. All the ways we try to control create even more conflict. Remembering to learn instead of control is a vital part of improving your relationship.

For example, most people have two major fears that become activated in relationships: the fear of abandonment ?of losing the other - and the fear of engulfment ?of losing oneself. When these fears get activated, most people immediately protect themselves against these fears with their controlling behavior. But if you chose to learn about your fears instead of attempt to control your partner, your fear would eventually heal. This is how we grow emotionally and spiritually ?by learning instead of controlling.

CREATE DATE TIMES

When people first fall in love, they make time for each other. Then, especially after getting married, they get busy. Relationships need time to thrive. It is vitally important to set aside specific times to be together ?to talk, play, make love. Intimacy cannot be maintained without time together.

GRATITUDE INSTEAD OF COMPLAINTS

Positive energy flows between two people when there is an ttitude of gratitude.?Constant complaints creates a heavy, negative energy, which is not fun to be around. Practice being grateful for what you have rather than focusing on what you don have. Complaints create stress, while gratitude creates inner peace, so gratitude creates not only emotional and relationship health, but physical health as well.

FUN AND PLAY

We all know that ork without play makes Jack a dull boy.?Work without play makes for dull relationships as well. Relationships flourish when people laugh together, play together, and when humor is a part of everyday life. Stop taking everything so seriously and learn to see the funny side of life. Intimacy flourishes when there is lightness of being, not when everything is heavy.

SERVICE

A wonderful way of creating intimacy is to do service projects together. Giving to others fills the heart and creates deep satisfaction in the soul. Doing service moves you out of yourself and your own problems and supports a broader, more spiritual view of life.

If you and your partner agree to these 7 choices, you will be amazed at the improvement in your relationship!

10 Common Lies Told by Women

Why are some relationships more honest than others? Why are some couples more truthful with each other while others like to deceive the partner? Nobody deserves to be lied, but there are no doubts that women are telling lies considerably and often. But so men do the same.

If you have trust issues in your relationship, in general, a woman may lie to you. Trust is something that you must build from the beginning of the relationship. Even though, a lot of people say ?white lies'' in order to make others feel better. Some women lie because, as caring creatures they want to spare the feelings of the man they are dating or seeing.

So, here are some common lies told by women that you should know. Someday you might hear them from your partner and it is better to know their real meaning.

1.You're perfect. I love you just the way you are and I wouldn't change a thing about you. Let's be serious; nobody is perfect. At the beginning of a relationship all of them say this because they didn't know you very well but after some time will definitely find something that needs changed. So, if she tells you something like this, don't be too enthusiastic because she finds you perfect just for a couple of days, and after that she will ask you to change.

2.You're right. Every time you are arguing with you're girlfriend usually ends up by telling you that you are right? Maybe this makes you feel proud of you, but you have to know that this is a big lie. She said this just to make you shut up, even if she didn't consider that you're right. She knows that after a while you will see that she was right, and may be waiting for apologize.

3.Nothing is wrong. The most common lie '' I'm fine'' when asked if there is something wrong is the most used by women. You see that she is upset, she is acting strange or doesn't want to talk to you too much and ask her what is the problem she says that everything is fine. They don't want to tell the real truth but they are expecting that men to figure out that something is wrong and those they had a mistake with something.

4.I do love sports honey. Maybe she agrees to stay and watch with you every week at a football game but this doesn't really mean that she like it. She accepts to do this just to show you that she is different from other girls and you have common interest. You may be thinking that you have found the perfect girl for you, because not many of them would like to stay to watch football, but don't be too happy because after a while she might had enough and get angry every time you sit down to watch a game.

5.I like spending time with your friends. At the beginning this is ok, but not too much. Even if they are good friends of you, she would like to spend more time alone with you and not with your friends. If she didn't tell you already this, she will ask you to keep visits from your buddies at minimum and then she might keep pretending she loves them.

6.Your family is adorable, so I like spending time with your family. The truth? Maybe twice a month. Think about it. Do you really think that she likes to spend time with your family where everybody is criticizing her and watch her every move? She agrees to spend time with your family when is necessary but she doesn't do it with much pleasure even if she is pretending in front of you that she likes them.

7.Your bank account doesn't matter. I hope you didn't believe this. We all know that this is definitely a lie. All women want a guy that is financial stable and independent, a guy that can assure her a future with no financial problems. This doesn't mean that you have to be very rich to have a girlfriend, but you have to have some money.

8.It doesn't bother to me if you look after women or go with your boys at strip-clubs. This is too good to be truth. Even she says that this is ok, she will definitely be upset that you want to go. They hate to feel second best to a night out with the guys, and accept this in order to make themselves seem less pathetically needy. If you choose to go, she will make you a lot of comments after, so you better think twice before you go.

9.You are very good in bed. If she choose to speak about this topic without you ask her, you don't have to believe all she says. If she starts to compliment you about your sexual experience it doesn't mean that she really believes that. Often a woman who cares about a man tell him all that she knows he wants to hear just to make him feel good about himself. So think about your girlfriend, your relationship, your sexual experience and see if you really deserve compliments on this topic.

10.Don't worry, it happens to everyone. If you just make a mistake, or fail in bed, you might hear this lie from your girlfriend. She doesn't want to show you how upset she is on you but in her mind thinks something else. I wouldn't be too sure that your mistake is forgiven and I would worry in not making too many '' accidents'' like these.

With all these presented, now will be more easy for you to know when your girlfriend is lying. As you see, what a woman says is not what she really thinks.

5 Ways To Keep Romance Alive ?On A Budget

Just about everyone agrees that a nice dinner and a good bottle of wine at a quiet, intimate restaurant will set the mood for romance, but have you seen the price tag? Not everyone can afford to spend big money on romance ever time, but a bit of creativity can get the same results without breaking the bank.

While most people know about is and hers?items like bathrobes and towels, there are a number of other items that can be enjoyed together as ouples?items. Try getting matching T-shirts with cute sayings on them. Have matching his and hers overnight bags, coffee mugs, bicycles, cell phones, cars, holiday ornaments, tennis rackets, rocking chairs and even matching carved pumpkins on Halloween.

Surprise your partner by making the ordinary a little more special. If he or she is enjoying a good book, remove the bookmark and replace it with a note that says,  bet youl never guess where Ie hidden your bookmark.?If they always turn the TV on when they come home from work, tape a note on the television that says, ouldn you rather turn me on??instead.

Making important memories is one way to be romantic on a budget. Challenge your partner to remember the most romantic kiss that youe seen in a movie. This will lead to some discussion about romantic kisses and should enhance the mood. As a surprise, buy that movie one day and try to recreate that special romantic kiss! Keep it in a special place and re-watch it whenever the mood strikes. If you can agree on the single most romantic kiss, go ahead and create a top five list. This tip works for anything. The top five most romantic songs. The top five most romantic movies. The top five most romantic books. You see the pattern. Make sure to go ahead and buy the books, songs, movies or whatever so you can use them in the future.

If you want to plan the ultimate romantic evening but funds are low or you simply don want to have to leave the house, shut down the electricity and imitate a power outage (it up to you whether or not you tell him or her!). You won have any distractions or heat, so it is up to both of you to keep the other warm and entertain each other.

It hard to find anyone who doesn enjoy an Oreo cookie. Take an Oreo (or generic version of one), scratch the top of the cookie until smooth and then scratch a heart and your initials into the smooth surface. You can also make your own cookies and create personal messages. Another version is to make your own cupcakes and frost them with special messages in red icing. You can also give your spouse a true treat and track down a box of his or her favorite Girl Scout cookie.

These 5 simple ideas are sure to warm up any relationship. Don be afraid to try simple tips and changes to outines?to spice things up without having it cost a fortune!

Asian Matchmaking moves to the Digital Age

It is clear there has been a shift away from the traditional form of arranged marriage, involving a matchmaker and formal introductions where the couple meet only after they have been chosen for each other. But there is still a particular approach to marriage in Asian culture worldwide. Marriage is important to young Asians: even in the UK they and their family usually hope they will be married or at least engaged by the age of 30, even though the rest of the population is marrying later and later ?or not at all.

While the new generation of Asians has adapted to the lifestyle of their country, they also maintain Asian cultures and traditions, as shown by the approach to their search for a life partner. The majority will still want to settle with an Asian Marriage Partner if possible.

Although few marriages in the Asian community are arranged in the traditional meaning of the word, the extended family remains involved in the search for a life partner ?even if they have to resist the urge to take over as matchmaker! The difference now is that young people are given the choice to find love, and meet and get to know each other before making formal family introductions. At this stage the family will consider the suitability of the match before any engagement or wedding is announced.

We now have a second and third generation of Asians who have a balance of cultural understanding that covers both East and West with equal ease. Many communities, for example Telugu and Kerala, have migrated widely but would still prefer a spouse from a similar background. They expect more freedom in their marriage choice, while still respecting the wishes of their elders and family traditions.

However, there is a growing contradiction to this tradition. There are a growing number unmarried after the age of 30, showing how the change in marriage trends has affected Asians. Most of these people are now in good positions and stable employment looking for partners, yet often it is difficult to meet a suitable partner.

There a clear reasons for this: young Asians are more likely to go to university, graduate at 22, find a job and enjoy it. Time passes quickly after the first few years of establishing a career and suddenly you are 30 and still single. Clearly someone who is used to this independence is not about to ask the local Matchmaker to take over the search. Instead they are taking the initiative to find a suitable match themselves, often using the power of the Internet.

Through responsible online matrimonial agencies they find confidential and respectable introductions to like-minded prospective partners of an appropriate religious and ethnic background. Online dating and marriage agencies are no longer the last resort ?many attractive and articulate couples meet this way, knowing that the fragmented offline social scene would not otherwise bring them together.

The reputable online marriage and dating agencies offer full confidentiality with the opportunity to select or reject potential partners?profiles and correspond by email to find out more about each other. They can then choose whether to meet, and what form that meeting should take.

An established agency (usually with a paid subscription) will normally ask clients to state their intentions - marriage or dating ?so the young person can meet someone who is serious. This online matchmaker trend is fuelling a fundamental change in Asian marriage traditions.

What to do if she just needs a break

Long Term Relationships are very difficult to sustain. After some time appear a lot of misunderstandings, argues and problems which are inevitable because that's life. There are couples which know how to get over these problems and their relationship continues, but many of them fail. But there are also other reasons why a couple break down as because there is no love anymore, they can't understand anymore or just that one of them is bored in this relationship. Although, what happens if she say that she still loves you but she needs a break?

Let's say that a few days ago, your girlfriend of just over two years told you that she needs a break; she still says that she loves you and want you to be together some day, but right now she needs some space, a break in order to settle her minds. What should you do?

First of all you should try to ask her the reasons, doesn't she likes someone else? Maybe she won't tell you the truth and keep telling you lie in the face, but let her know that by taking this break is the risk of losing you forever. So if she really cares about you she will be a little worried that the game she planed would not go as she wanted. If you have the power, you should confront her and tell her that she is right, you feel too trapped lately and you consider too that is the best for you to have a break, even this is not what you want and your heart is broken.

If a girl asks for a break in relationship you have to give her that; if she still loves you as she said then she will come back to you. If she tells you that she will call you, you've better wait until she decides to do it. So do not try to contact her, to not call her, give her the time she needs. To not try desperately to get her back because she will run of you and then you will never get her back. Leave her alone, be busy and she will be sorry for letting you.

You have to think what may be the reasons why she wants to take a break as opposed to break up. Maybe you haven't been the best boyfriend she ever wanted. Or maybe she is making new friends, venturing on her own, enjoying the single life, having second thoughts about the relationship and she is outgrowing you; she is having fun right now, but having you as a boyfriend may not really fit into her new life.

Another reason why she wants to take a break is that she is not quite ready to let you go, but she wants to be able to meet other guys, without resorting to cheating on you; or she just met a new boy that she likes but she is not sure if she wants to stay with him or you.

What happens if she still calls you, dating sometime, but she doesn't tell you to get back together? The best thing you can do is to show her that you are fine without her, even if your heart is broken; all the girls are the same: when a girl it feels unwanted, is ready to do anything in order to be wanted again; so if she doesn't come running back it means that she didn't care too much.

You have to wait a little after her, but not too much. If she is sure that you love her, she likes this situation: she feels that she still has a boyfriend when she wants too, and also it is free to find someone new. So start letting go of your feelings for her right now and start date with other girls meantime because it is not considerate cheating because right now you are not a couple anymore, you are separated. It is the only way for you to move on with your life and if by some chance the two of you get back together someday, it will be on your terms. So go out with your own friends and have some fun.

When people decided to take a break, what they are really doing is taking time to see if there is somebody more suited for them out there. So you must think better if your girlfriend doesn care about her more than she cares you.

Want to improve your relationship with your wife?

Recently, my wife, 7 year old daughter and I decided that since it was such a beautiful, cool, and slightly breezy evening that we would take a blanket outside, spread it out on the lawn with some refreshments, and enjoy the evening reading books.

I grabbed a book that I had wanted to finish for a while, strapped on my seatbelt as it were, and got ready for some serious, uninterrupted reading.

Except there was one little problem?
My wife and daughter grabbed a book they aid?they were going to read together. And for the next hour and a half that we spent on the lawn, they were both up and down, in and out of the house, giggling, laughing, playing, getting this, getting that, teasing each other, and in general, fooling around. If doubt they read 10 lines of text the whole time.

Now on my end, I wanting to read my book and so I found myself starting to feel a little bit aggravated. My focus was on reading and anything that interrupted me or distracted me from my reading was a nuisance and an irritant.

In fact, I went so far as to say to them, ou girls aren getting much reading done are you??
It was their look of puzzlement, that look at me as if I was from outer-space or some foreign place that caused me to remember that which I already knew?
Females are focused on relating. And anything that interrupts them or distracts them from their relating is a nuisance and an irritant.

And therein lies the ub? Men are focused on the oing?while the women are focused on onnecting?

So how do you improve your relationship with your wife?

Of course, there are many answers to this question, but pertaining to this article, the way to improve your relationship with your wife is to force yourself to set aside whatever it is that you are oing?

Totally forget about oing?anything and instead focus on the onnecting?and elating?that she wanting.

Realize that whatever the oing?part is supposed to be is really nothing more than a platform upon which she wants to onnect?and elate?

But be warned, if you take time onnect?and elate?to and with her, she might end up oing?you if you get my drift?

Happily, that exactly what happened to me.

Trust Starts with You

 have a hard time trusting people.?
 never feel like I can trust my husband (or wife).?
It is very common for me, in my work as a counselor, to hear the above statements. Trust issues abound in relationships. However, resolving trust issues is not about getting another person to be trustworthy. It about you become a trustworthy person with yourself and learning to trust yourself.

BECOMING TRUSTWORTHY WITH YOURSELF

How often do you promise yourself you are going to do something and then don do it? For example, we often promise ourselves to:

* Get the taxes done on time.

* Catch up on email, phone calls, and other correspondence.

* Eat better.

* Drink less alcohol.

* Stop reckless spending, gambling, or whatever puts us in financial distress.

* Stop getting angry.

* Stop giving ourselves up.

* Lose weight.

* Get more exercise.

* Get more sleep (or sleep less).

* Get together with friends.

* Clean up the house, or clean up the clutter.

* Be on time.

* Watch less TV or spend less time on the computer.

* Meditate or pray.

* Take time for ourselves.

* Finish a project.

* And so on?.

If you promise yourself you will do something and then you don do it, you are not being trustworthy with yourself. This would be like promising a child something and then not doing it. Eventually the child would learn not to trust you. The same applies with your Child within. If you promise yourself ?your Inner Child ?that you will take care of yourself in some way and then you don do it, the Inner Child learns that there is no inner adult to trust. Since many of us project onto others our own inner issues, it is likely that if you are not trustworthy with yourself, you will project untrustworthiness onto others. You will continue to distrust others as long as you are not behaving in a trustworthy way with yourself and with others.

TRUSTING YOURSELF

Many of us grew up with parents who did not trust our feelings and perceptions. We might have been told that what we felt and what we experienced was wrong.

Mother: Put on a sweater. It cold outside.

Child: I not cold.

Mother: Youe just a child. What do you know? Put on a sweater.

Mother: Go give your Uncle Sam a kiss.

Child: No, I don like Uncle Sam. He creepy.

Mother: Of course you like Uncle Sam. Now go give him a kiss.

Child: My teacher is really mean to me.

Father: I sure your teacher is very nice. If your teacher is mean to you, it must be your fault.

Child: Daddy, why are you angry at me?

Father: I not angry.

After a while, we learn to discount and mistrust our feelings and perceptions. We learn to give our authority away to our parents and other adults, deciding that others must know more about what we feel, want and perceive than we do. We abandon our inner knowing and stop trusting ourselves.

I have worked with many people who felt deeply betrayed by someone, only to discover in the course of our work together than they had betrayed themselves by not listening to themselves. I often hear statements such as:

 knew when we first met that Frank was lying to me about his money situation, but I didn listen to myself. I believed him instead of believing myself, and now I stuck with all this debt.?
 had a feeling that Katherine was having affairs even before we got married but I didn listen to myself. The last thing I ever wanted was to be divorced with children.?
We can often feel in our bodies what is true and what is untrue, yet many of us don listen to these inner messages. Instead, we put our trust in others and then feel betrayed when others let us down. When we choose to listen to and trust our own inner voice rather than give our power away to others, we will no longer put ourselves in positions to be used and betrayed.

How often have you ignored yourself when something didn feel right, only to later discover that you really did know that something wasn right? How often have you heard the voice of your inner or Higher Self and discounted it, only to regret it later?

Your trust issues with others will be resolved when you become a trustworthy adult with yourself ?following through on what you say you will do, and when you learn to trust your inner knowing. It will be harder for others to get away with unloving acts toward you when you learn to trust yourself.

Tips to Choose Wedding Dress

Getting married used to be a simple task - find the right man, ask for your parents' approval, wear mom's wedding gown, and walk down the aisle. Now, it's a little more complicated, and of course, there's no way you're wearing what mom had worn. It's a little outdated. Your wedding dress should feature the latest in wedding gown styles. If you can't find the gown of your dreams, don't fret, that's just the proverbial tip of the iceberg. There's more where that came from.White? After Labor Day?

To wear white on your wedding day is your right, but it's also your choice. With a wedding dress, the possibilities are endless. White, off-white, or white with trimmings, you can find it if you know where to look. Bear in mind that everyone has different body types, and different tastes. Take the time to look for the wedding dress of your dreams, try it on, and see if it works for you. You don't simply need to imagine if the material will fall the right way, you need to actually see it. Neither should you worry about the fit because alterations can be made at your convenience.

The gown you want is waiting for you.The Total PackageSince you're not walking down that aisle alone, make a stunning entrance and dress your bridesmaids in beautiful bridesmaid dresses. Get rid of the notion that bridesmaids' dresses are horrible fashion statements, and hear the words "exquisite" instead. It can be sweet and simple, classy and elegant, or sexy and stylish. It could be a full gown, a mini dress, or anything in between. It's your choice and they will love you for it. You can also include your bridesmaids in the decision making process to make sure that everyone's happy. After all, you're not the only who should look good on your wedding day.

Now imagine the awed silence as you walk in with your own wedding dress, be it a form-fitting, strapless number from Alfred Sung, a daring corseted gown from the My Lady collection, a wonderful ruffled and girlish Tulipia dress, or an elegant classic from Mori Lee. If you're a stickler for details, you might as well find the right cake among the many wedding cakes in Toronto to get everything coordinated. Naturally, you can't forget your shoes, makeup, and hairstyle.

The Million Dollar LookYou should have a look to go for, but not necessarily spend a lot for it. There are many shops offering dresses at reasonable prices and discounts. Great Tips For Saving Money On Your Wedding

Great Tips For Saving Money On Your WeddingA wedding held today may be twice as expensive as an identical wedding held six months from now, or half the price. It all depends on the season. Holidays, the weather, and tourism all affect the prices and availability of services you may want to reserve for your wedding. Ask about seasonal price changes when you are pursuing general information.Allow yourself plenty of time to consider several seasons for your wedding. This might mean up to a year of waiting and planning, but you can save a lot of money with careful research in this area.Ask about seasonal charges for the ceremony location. More popular wedding months may see a rise in location fees.Ask about seasonal charges for the reception location as well. Again, busier wedding months may mean the manager has boosted - or dropped - package rates.

The season of your wedding also determines if you will have weather factors to consider. Are you planning an outdoor wedding during the rainy season? If so, the garden tea party you found to be so much less expensive than the sit-down dinner will wind up costing you much more than you had planned when you have to move everyone and everything indoors. What about the air conditioning or heat you'll have to provide? Will it be the stormy time of year where you are planning to spend your honeymoon? A great deal of money is wasted if you lose a day or two of your vacation because a flight was delayed by a hurricane. So consider the seasonal weather when you plan your wedding and honeymoon. The travel industry is also controlled by seasonal rates. Off-season airfare and hotel reservations can amount to hundreds of dollars' savings over high-season tourist prices. Check with your travel agent about seasonal travel prices when you begin your planning, or check directly with airlines and hotels.Holidays also affect the price of travel for the bride and groom and for family and friends who will come from miles away to share your day with you. Either travel and lodging fees will soar skyward due to holiday visiting, or special holiday travel packages may be offered to lure passengers away from competitors. Research holiday travel rates thoroughly before you plunk down a few thousand on Memorial Day weekend.

You might be able to get a better deal at another time.Another way to facilitate travel: Plan your wedding for the weekend of a family gathering or reunion. Everyone will be in the general area, and they'll get two great events for one trip. One bride found that when she moved her wedding date to an earlier weekend, more of her guests would be in the area after a family party, and she saved over a thousand dollars in travel and lodging for her guests. The season of your wedding will also affect the price of the flowers you choose for your bouquets and decorations. Blooms and plants are usually cheaper when they are in season, so consider your florist bill when you set a date on the calendar.

Furthermore, a wedding planned for Valentine's Day faces an increased charge for much-in-demand roses. Sixty-dollar bouquets on Valentine's Day go for less than twenty dollars the day after, so imagine what your wedding flowers will cost.Prices and types of food on the wedding menu will also be affected by the season. Warmer days mean lighter, simpler foods, and certain types of seafood are less expensive when in season.Which months are the best to consider? It's hard to say. May through August is the busiest and high demand usually means inflated prices and slimmer choices. December, too, is a popular month for weddings, and, due to the high prices of the holiday season, it's also costly. Spring break may see a fare hike on airlines. Graduation time may mean caterers and entertainers are busy with those celebrations. So what's left? January through April as well as September to November. Be careful, though. These may be the natural down time for the wedding industry, but there's no guarantee that rates will be better than at the busiest times. In fact, depending on where you are and what kind of wedding season preceded the down time, prices just might be higher. Research is the key.

Engagement Party Games

The engagement party is a time when the families of the couple will get to know one another. In some cases, this might be the first meeting between the two families or groups of friends and any icebreaker activity will be a welcome event. In that light, whoever plans the engagement party (likely the bride's family, but it can be the engaged couple or anyone else who wants to plan the party) should plan a few games and activities designed to help everyone get to know everyone else.

First up is a trivia game. Create a "Trivial Pursuit" type game with questions about the bride and groom's lives. You might contain the questions to just facts and events relating to both the bride and groom (such as how long did it take her to say "yes" when he asked, where did he propose, where did they meet, etc), or you can include questions pertaining to their lives outside of each other and before they met each other. Not only can this be fun, but also it's an entertaining way for people to get to know each other and the engaged couple better. One popular icebreaker that's used at corporate functions and company parties can also work really well at engagement parties. Tape a card to each person's back and encourage him or her to work the room, mingle with everyone and particularly try to get to know someone they have never met before. Before moving on to someone else, be sure to make a comment about the person on the card on his or her back. Partiers write an impression of that person, such as "she seems sweet" or "he knows a lot about the weather". This icebreaker ends when the mingling session is over. The cards are then read one by one and people not only get to know each other better, but enjoy hearing all the comments people made about them.
Try to ensure that comments are complimentary or somehow presented in a positive light. Hurtful comments, obviously, are not appropriate. If this is truly the first time many of the guests have met, then another fun game involving the wearing of cards might be in order. In this game, each guest wears a card on their front that has their name on the front and a number on the back. They don't share with anyone what their number is. Guests mingle and chat and get to know each other over the course of the evening. Toward the end of the evening, the cards are flipped over and the number side is shown. Everyone gets a piece of paper and writes the numbers on the paper, then tries to correspond the name of someone with their number. This fun game can be hard for people who are bad with names, but it's fun nonetheless. For an activity that doesn't put people on the spot quite so much, consider letting the already marrieds help out the to-be marrieds.
Place two pieces of posterboard on the wall and mark them "advice from women" and "advice from men". Now is the time to offer advice about wedding planning, not about being married. That advice can come later. Encourage guests to offer their own wedding planning advice. The advice from older people at the party could be decidedly different from the younger couples in the group, making for an enlightening group of comments.

Marrying Sex With Soul

Sex used to be about sex—and sometimes about love. “Soul” used to be about church—and sometimes about spirituality. But today, in a combination that Baby Boomer spouses could never have imagined, couples are increasingly looking for sexual relationships that include spiritual connection, while spiritual seekers are consciously making their sex lives part of their spiritual odyssey.
This change in emphasis is chronicled in a fascinating new anthology, The Marriage of Sex and Spirit (http://www.MarriageOfSexAndSpirit.com). It contains sage advice from many best-selling authors, including John Gray, Riane Eisler, Deepak Chopra, Margot Anand, Wayne Dyer, and others. It embraces perspectives from the theological (Thomas Moore) to the mythological (John Welwood) to the downright raunchy (David Deida). Collectively, they have some good advice about engendering a spiritual-sexual connection in a relationship. Among their tips are these:
Change Your Life Script
We all act out of concepts of who we are: The Temptress, the Good Guy, the Amazon Warrior Woman, the Rescuing Knight, and so on. We establish these archetypes early in life, and live out of the scripts they provide. When we’re in a crisis, or in a new relationship, we often pull out the old reliable script and read our familiar lines—even if they’ve brought disaster every time in the past.
Yet our scripts are choices. They are not engraved into our personalities; they can be changed. They are difficult to change, but with effort, we can identify our scripted behaviors. How? We are comfortable with them. They feel familiar to us, while other behavior seems strange when we try it. Throwing away the old script and picking up a new, and less dysfunctional one, is an act of great courage. Under pressure, acting differently is difficult, but with practice, by sticking to it, we can make the new and better script a habit.
Slow, Slower, Slowest
In an African village, a friend of mine was renting a bicycle from a bush peddlar. “It has three gears,” the tribesman explained: “Slow, slower, slowest.” That’s a good metaphor to apply to sex, even when we’re hot and bothered and want to jump right into it.
The beauty of slow is that it works whether your sex life is like a pile of cold ashes, or like a raging inferno. A long slow session of non-sexual touching and massage can often kindle desire where there was none before. It can also prolong the pleasure when the desire to jump into intercourse is unbearably strong. Either way, slowing down forces you to connect with the spiritual and soul aspects of your partner, and integrates them with the sex act.
Find the Diamonds Among the Gravel
Your old relationships may have been full of pain or even abuse. Learning to find the lessons in them, and growing from them, has many benefits. One is that once you’ve learned a lesson (like boundaries) the hard way, you’re unlikely to forget it. Another is that if you consciously find the good in people and situations in your past, you are training yourself to focus on the good qualities in your current partner.
When you look beyond the gravel of your partner’s ego and personality, you can often see the deeper and more spiritual aspects. Chances are, those are the very diamonds that attracted you to that person in the first place. Their personality patterns might annoy you no end. But if you focus on those patterns, you just buy yourself more annoyance. And when you shift your perspective to their soul qualities, all the passion of the earliest parts of the relationship might just come rushing back.
Breathing From Your Heart
New scientific research is showing that the neurological loop between heart and brain is strengthened by moving your attention into the center of your chest. When you shift your focus from thinking (say, during an argument, or during foreplay) to your heart, physiological changes occur that make you feel more integrated. You inhabit your body more fully. It is especially effective to imagine your breath coming into your heart on the inbreath, and leaving your heart on the outbreath. Such “heart breathing” can shift the dynamics of an argument, center you during an excess of sexual passion, and bring your attention back to your partner when it’s wandering somewhere else.
Any of these techniques can help change a relationship. Some techniques work better for some people, others work better for others. Play around to find the ones that work best for you. And just doing something—anything—differently from your usual pattern shifts the dynamics of a couple, and opens up a space for fresh and healthier interactions.

Free Guides on Relationships: Empathy Vs. Responsibility For Feelings

William grew up with a mother who was depressed much of her life. As the oldest of three children with a father who was not around much, William took on a lot of responsibility for his mother's wellbeing. He grew up as a kind and caring man, believing that he was responsible for another's feelings, especially a woman's.
Lauren grew up in a family where she received constant criticism from her father. From the time she was little, she had learned to try to do everything right in order to have control over getting her father's approval and avoiding his disapproval. Lauren learned early in life to make others responsible for her feelings.

As so often happens, William and Lauren got together at their common level of woundedness, with William feeling responsible for Lauren's feelings and Lauren making William responsible for her feelings. But it didn't take long for William to feel engulfed by Lauren's demands and to shut down as a way to protect himself from being controlled by her. The more William shut down, the angrier and more demanding Lauren got, and the angrier Lauren got, the more William shut down. Both felt deeply lonely in the relationship, each reacting to the other's wounded self.
As long as William believed he was responsible for Lauren's feelings, he was unable to feel any of his natural caring and empathy for her. And as long as Lauren believed that William was responsible for her feelings, she was unable to feel any of her natural kindness toward him.
The fact is that we cannot feel both empathy toward another and responsibility for their feelings at the same time. We cannot feel empathy for another when we feel burdened by responsibility for their feelings, or when we believe that the other is responsible for our feelings. As long as William continued to believe that he was responsible for Lauren's feelings, all he knew to do was shut down. As long as Lauren believed that William was responsible for her feelings, all she knew to do was get angry and blaming.
Fortunately, William and Lauren were willing to learn and practice Inner Bonding. William did deep work on understanding the sources of his wounded self's belief that he was responsible for Lauren's feelings, and was eventually able to let go of this false belief, as well as learn how to take responsibility for his own feelings when he felt attacked or pulled on by Lauren. As he developed his loving Adult, he was able to take loving care of himself while staying open and caring about Lauren.
Lauren did her own deep Inner Bonding work to finally let go of her long pattern of making others responsible for her feelings. She discovered that her current feelings of abandonment were not because of William at all, but rather because she so often abandoned herself by ignoring her own feelings. She discovered that the moment she made William responsible for her feelings, she felt abandoned because making him responsible for her feelings was an abandonment of herself. As she learned to take loving care of her own feelings, her anger toward William gradually disappeared.
This is the most important work any individual or couple can do to bring about their own happiness and improve all their relationships. Learning to take responsibility for your own feelings and not for another's feelings is vital for your inner peace, joy and loving relationships.

Where Will You Wed: Selecting a Wedding Location
Prince Charming proposed, and you accepted. Congratulations! When you share your news with friends and family, immediately after congratulating you and your betrothed, they will ask these two questions: When are you going to get married? And where are you going to get married?
It makes a lot more sense to address selecting a wedding location first because weather changes dramatically between the seasons in most places, and once you choose a location, you can then pick the best season to wed there. A good place to start your search is by thinking about the majority of the guests that you will invite.

Do they all live within a 10-mile radius of your hometown? If so, you might want to consider having the wedding close by, so that all your friends and family won't have to shell out big buckaroos to travel to your wedding location.
What if you live a greater distance from most of your family and friends? Perhaps start by thinking about the feasibility of those you care about traveling to your neck of the woods. Can Grandma fly four hours to attend a wedding on the west coast? Will your high school friends be able to spend the money on flights, and have funds left for accommodations, not to mention a wedding gift for you? If many of your guests won't be able to make it to your wedding location, and they all live generally close to one another, you might decide to go ahead and have the hometown ceremony after all.

If you are not marrying your high school sweetheart, it is much more likely that there will be a great deal of variance in terms of where your guests live. In that case, when you are selecting a wedding location, you can consider getting married in a wedding location that has some special significance for you and your sweetie. For instance, maybe you met during college. In that case, the perfect location for you could be the chapel at your alma mater. Or maybe you met your sweetie at the beach, or are both beach lovers. Your dream wedding location could be to wed on a beach. If you are both avid golfers, the best wedding location could be at the ninth hole on a scenic golf course. If you enjoy skiing, consider getting married at a ski lodge, overlooking the mountain.
There is something very special about a destination wedding, as everyone gets to take a min-vacation to someplace they might not ordinarily visit. If you choose a destination wedding for your wedding location, it is customary to provide your guests with some ideas and tips about fun things to do at or near your wedding location. You can even consider sending out this information a few weeks or months ahead of time to assist your guests in their planning process.
Whatever wedding location you choose, consider what season you are most likely to have the best weather. If possible, go ahead and schedule your wedding for that time of year. And enjoy all your wedding location has to offer!

Warning Signs of an Affair in Your Marriage

There are many warning signs of an affair in a marriage and if you suspect that your spouse is being unfaithful, you'll want proof. People embroiled in adulterous affairs often think they are too clever to be caught, but everyone lets things slip at some point. If you are married to someone who you think may have taken on a lover outside of your marriage, look for these signals that indicate that they are no longer being faithful to you.

One of the most obvious signs of an affair is a change in intimacy within the marriage. At first thought you may believe that someone who is cheating is going to want to be intimate less often. That's actually not always the case. In fact, many men and women who are sleeping with someone else will actually want to make love more often with their spouse. This may be to overcompensate for the guilt they are feeling. If your spouse's interest in sex with you has changed, that's a sign that something else may be at play within your marriage.
The most common form of communication these days is the cell phone. If you suspect that your spouse isn't being faithful pay special attention to their cell phone behavior. It's much safer, in the eyes of the adulterer, to have their lover call their cell. Therefore one of the signs of an affair in your marriage is how your spouse handles those calls. If they repeatedly excuse themselves to use the phone, they are having conversations they don't want you to hear. Also pay more attention at how often they simply ignore calls. If it's happening often chances are good that it's their lover calling and since you are present your spouse obviously can't take that call.
It's often hard to know whether your spouse is indeed committing adultery. Many people can have a long term affair without anyone suspecting a thing. In fact, sixty percent of married men and forty percent of married women will be unfaithful. For telltale signs of a cheating spouse, and how to get irrefutable and undeniable proof of the affair within moments visit this helpful site.
Although the aftermath of finding out whether or not your spouse is cheating can be devastating, it's much better to know. You owe it to yourself and your children to know the truth.

Where To Find Fall Wedding Favors?

If you have always wanted to get acquainted with fall wedding favors, then prepare yourself because we have all the statistics you can read. Though there are a lot of people that love to marry in the summer, there are others that favor the other three seasons. Spring and fall are often close seconds, as they are usually cooler, and you can marry indoors or out as long as you pick the right date. Fall weddings often go with the fall theme, and that means you have a lot of neat fall wedding favor ideas that you can use. While you can buy these in the stores, and sometimes those pressed for time will find this to be a blessing, there are many that you can do on your own if you wish. The most common theme for fall wedding favors is the colorful leaves of fall. The reason these are so popular is because they are so beautiful, and because these colors can also work for the colors in your wedding otherwise. Coppers, greens, yellows, oranges, and reds are the most common and they look great together. Your fall wedding favors can easily revolve around this theme and you can do whatever it is that you want. You can tie your favors in a fall theme into what you use for your invitations, thank you notes, and your wedding program as well.

You can use real leaves for your fall wedding favors if you have access to them, but the fake variety you can buy will look great as well. The trick is to get them when they are not yet brittle, or your favors will fall apart. This is why many go with the fake leaves you can buy at your local craft store. They will often have a section of these things so that you can find all of your wedding favors for fall nuptials all in one place. You may find many more great ideas just because they have given you great suggestions by placing all of your possibilities in one place. When putting together your fall wedding favors, think of ways to make the leaves the main part of the favor. You can find unique ways to wrap the leaves around your bubbles, if you intend to use them, and you can also use them as a cover for small, personal photo albums. You can use decoupage to affix them to votive candle holders, just be sure you are doing it in a way so that they are not fire hazards. The possibilities for fall wedding favors are almost endless, so have a look around online for some great ideas you can expand upon for your own personal wedding treats. Should I Make My Own Wedding Poems?

Like an infant who has seen a new fun toy, this commentary about wedding poems will open up a whole new world of excitement and wonder for you. According to my dad, wedding poems are quite a tradition in his family. Wedding invitation poems, poems read during during the bridal shower, the wedding dinner, and the actual wedding ceremony, and many other examples of wedding poetry go back generations in his family. After all, many of them are wordsmiths. Within my father's family line, there are literally dozens of fairly well-known poets and authors. That these people can compose a wedding poem is no surprise to anyone who has read their works. They are some pretty talented people. When it was time for me to get married, however, I sort of shrugged when confronted with the idea of wedding poems. I wasn't particularly interested. To tell you the truth, I was a little bit insecure. My poetry wasn't bad, but compared to some of the poems that had come out of my father's family, it wasn't very good either. I knew that I wasn't a talented writer, and had grown accustomed to that fact, but even so it felt like a shame to have to showcase my mediocre wedding poem in front of hundreds of guests.
In the introduction, we saw how this subject can be beneficial to anyone. We will continue by explaining the basics of this topic. Nonetheless, I knew that it was important to my father. Let's face it weddings are as much for the parents as they are for the people getting married. A wedding poem was something that was expected of me, and I wanted to do my dad proud. I took a lot of time to come up with the perfect poetry. As a matter of fact, it took me months. I thought about wedding poems, looked at wedding poetry on line, bought a few collections of poetry, and basically found inspiration whenever I could. I went through dozens and dozens of drafts, but I finally came up with something that I really liked. Although I wanted to show my wedding poems to my dad ahead of time, I decided to keep them secret. This was the traditional way of doing it, after all. When it came time to read my poem in front of the guests, I got very nervous. It took me a moment, but I steadied myself and got ready to read. When I was finally finished, there was a hush over the room. Then people applauded. Apparently, even average writers can come up with good wedding poems If they put enough work into it. The key is sincerity and good taste. I have both of those qualities in abundance. Try and Copy/Paste a keyword from the title of this educational commentary about wedding poems on your favorite search engine and you will find a wealth of knowledge. Marriage Alert! Can Your Relationship Survive The Financial Crisis?

When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves. ~Victor Frankl
You don't need me to tell you about the dire state of the American economy and the reverberations being felt around the world. While you're probably well aware of how this is directly impacting your bank account, home value, and nest egg, there is a hidden casualty that doesn't seem to be getting any press:
Marriages and relationships are buckling under the stress of these uncertain, stressful economic times.
Money is a sensitive and complicated issue for many couples. Arguments and power struggles can easily result and couples often feel blindsided by how a once strong relationship can be pulled apart by conflicts over finances. Here are five steps you can take to help your relationship survive this economic crisis.
1. Make the decision to keep your relationship a priority
It is easy to lose sight of the importance of your relationship during tough economic times (or during any stressful period). Many loving couples lose their way when worries about job security and money begin to take center stage in their relationship—intimacy is temporarily compromised when you or your partner become overwhelmed by fear; the very bond that supports your union can be weakened when your fears become a mainstay of your relationship.
Becoming conscious of this danger is essential to the health of your marriage or relationship. Make it a habit to check in with each other and acknowledge the importance of your relationship—you both need to make a conscious effort to help your love transcend the hurdles you face. With a little planning you and your partner can create "no-worry-zones" throughout the day--protected moments where you both give one another permission to only think about each other, about the positive aspects of your relationship. Think of these as temporary pit-stops that can allow you both to refuel the relationship.
Remember, if you're anxious about money and/or job security, it will take effort and practice for you to be fully present with your spouse or partner in these moments.
2. Acknowledge and accept changing roles
We all play different roles in our relationships (and in our lives). For instance, you might be the "go-to person" during times of trouble; or maybe you're the joker who makes everyone smile.
Often changes in family income bring about changes in the roles that were a natural part of your relationship—the bread-winner who took pride in supporting her/his family may now have to apply for unemployment (or take two jobs just to make ends meet); The full-time parent may now be forced to leave the children in someone else's care and search for work. Beyond defining us as individuals, many of our assumed roles give particular meaning and value to our lives—and we can feel shaken at our core when stripped of these roles.
Share your struggles with your spouse/partner and supportive others if you are having difficulty transitioning into a new and unwelcome role in your life.
3. Find new ways to connect and enjoy one another
Your income and resources may change drastically during a financial crisis—or you may live with chronic anxiety that your finances can drastically change at any moment. Money that you originally allocated for vacations, dining out, gifts and other leisure activities may suddenly be needed to pay the mortgage or rent, be used for food, and utility bills (or saved for future expenses). Your relationship needs to change with the changing tides of your finances.
The challenge is for you and your partner to seek out new ways to connect and enjoy each other without the constraints of limited finances. You'll need to adopt a new mindset for this to occur and you'll each need to sacrifice. As your inspiration think of the starving artist or broke college student who are able to create meaningful relationships despite being financially destitute. Try to forget the trappings that money brings and head back to romance basics: holding hands, long walks, movies, games (is anyone up for charades?), making each other laugh...brainstorm together on how to have inexpensive, low- to no- cost fun.
4. Learn to ask for help/seek support from each other
Denial and stoicism aren't useful, especially if you're feeling overwhelmed and anxious. Unfortunately, some couples keep their collective heads in the sand and act like it is business as usual until something drastic happens—well, something pretty drastic is happening, so now may be a good time to get your head out of the sand.
All too often couples don't share their fears with one another—this is especially the case for men. It's so common it's become a cliché: the stoic male who'd rather not talk about his feelings (especially emotions that make him feel helpless and not in control); the male who doesn't access his partner for support but instead pulls away and attempts to deal with problems by himself, leaving his spouse/partner feeling isolated, confused and alone. And, while this pattern is more typically seen in men, there are women who also withdraw in the face of stress.
There's no way to sugarcoat this: It's dangerous for you and your partner to begin withdrawing from each other—you'll now be faced with the anxiety of a troubled relationship on top of everything that's playing out across the global economy.
5. Understand how you each cope with stress
Lack of financial security creates anxiety in all of us. As your anxiety level escalates during these uncertain times it becomes easy to displace your reactions to stress onto your partner.
No matter how healthy your relationship or marriage is, it is common for conflict to escalate when you and/or your partner are under stress. Ideally couples will learn to rely on one another to get through the difficult times that are part of every life. The reality, however, is often different.
A brief example of how financial stress negatively affected Vince and Karen:
Vince recently lost his job as a systems analyst at a large insurance company. In order to make ends meet, he needed to find work quickly and took a job making significantly less money. For the first time in their marriage, money was extremely tight. Rather than seek out Karen for support, Vince became more withdrawn and began to feel inadequate as a husband--his self-esteem is tightly wrapped around his ability to support his family. Confused by her husband's behavior, Karen began to confront Vince about his "bad attitude." Repeated conflicts replaced the once peaceful terrain of their marriage.
Part of the problem for Vince and Karen (as well as for many couples) is that they each have very different coping styles when faced with stressful life events. Vince withdraws and ruminates (rather than seeking support from others) and this triggers a fear reaction in Karen who begins to worry that their marriage is in trouble.
Is there a solution to this dilemma?
Become mindful of each other's coping style
Often a marriage or relationship is damaged not by the stress itself, but by the way in which you and your partner cope with stress. The more information you have about how you both deal with the pressures of life (your typical patterns of coping), the more understanding and empathy you will have for one another during relationship rough patches.

Useful Guidelines For Gay Or Lesbian Weddings

In Toronto Canada, there is an annual celebration called the Gay Pride Parade. During this day, gay and straight people flock to the area to attend the parade and witness gay weddings in Ontario. More nations are following this bold move. In May of 2008, the ban on same sex marriages has been lifted by the California Supreme Court. It is believed that this would trigger an outpour of same sex marriages pretty soon.

Traditional or Unique Wedding Location?
Many gay couples consider the idea of renting the traditional wedding venues (just strike off Christian churches from the list). But since being gay is about being out in the open and being real, it would also be great to hold the wedding in unique locations such as gardens, beaches, underwater, or on a yacht. Yacht weddings are quite popular in San Diego, California as couples love to exchange their I Do's while gazing at the skyscrapers and water. The captain of the vessel could officiate the wedding ceremony and the couple can choose whether they want a festive wedding onboard the yacht or just a simple ceremony.
Wedding Cakes, Gowns, Tux, Rings, Photographs, Honeymoon and Stuff
Most gay couples should consider the same wedding details that a male-female union should worry about. Creativity should be the primary motif but the couples' comfort zone should never be compromised just to conform to what's traditional.
For instance, a lesbian who is about to get married should decide whether she would want a wedding gown or a crisp tuxedo. Formal gay weddings should send out their invitations months before the wedding or even up to a year in advance. The theme of the wedding should dictate what type of invitation should be distributed. Leather-inspired gay weddings should have a tinge of leather on the cover of the invitation.
Wedding rings are also a big part of the ceremony and the couple has the choice between the traditional and the outrageous designs such as two males intertwined (or curvy females for lesbians) or two symbols of Mars that are made of silver.
Yet another part of the ceremony is wedding favors. There isn't much difference when it comes to heterosexual wedding favors and gay wedding favors. The hottest wedding favors as of the moment are: eco-friendly wedding favors; silver and crystal wedding favors; and edible wedding favors.
When it comes to gay wedding cakes, these are the most common options: long-lasting cakes such as fruit cakes; cakes with liqueurs; or cakes with fillings. The most common gay cake toppers are two men in tuxedo or two brides dressed in gowns. Light artwork is also a good choice for cake toppers as it depicts elegance.

Can you live a fun marriage too?

Often in our Coaching Practice we hear both wives and husbands saying things like: “I do still love my spouse, but feel that our life is like being trapped” or “I lost my freedom when entering my relation” or even things like: “…our life is not bad but boring…”
The truth is that there are many things that we could do in order to improve our relation with our spouse, and overcoming the feelings that make several marriages in a non-justified way prematurely end.
The key word here is “together”; please take a moment to think about it. How can you make a marriage work and be fun if each one of the spouses is only having fun alone, or worst, with someone else?
In a relationship, it is always worth to continuously ask yourself certain questions:
When was the last time you went out for a romantic dinner, or just hot dogs and a sweet chat? Do you hold hands when at the movies? Can you talk with your partner about something else than money, work and children?
Being romantic has little or nothing to do with expending money; you could make a romantic dinner at home just by adding the touch of candle lights to your everyday meal.
Marriage does not have to be a heavy burden to any of you. You can easily transform it by doing very simple things!!!
Show your affection. This can be done by doing something as simple as holding hands; loving acts of affection bring trust to your couple, they offer the feeling on intimacy and open barriers that were close before. Nonsexual gestures are powerful and show your spouse how much he/she means to you; a small warm kiss on the cheek, rubbing her/his shoulders, making his/hers special dish, etc. and yes, noticing the new hair style counts too !!! Make a habit to show your spouse how much you care.
Let go your emotional baggage. Stop holding your emotions and keeping them inside; try sharing them with your spouse in the best possible way. Many of the couples that come to me for coaching have the same issue: lack of communication. You may have probably heard about this before, but it is truly on top of the agenda on most couples I consult with. Years of keeping inside those small or big uncomfortable feelings, thoughts they never shared for different reasons, attitudes that irritate them but never mentioned, etc... One day they just can not take it anymore and explode over a simple gesture. Why letting things go so far? Learn how to share and how to accept different points of view that make you unique and special. Share your feelings and fears, start talking again about your dreams and goals; again: talking about the kids, bills to pay and fighting does not count. Just a simple occasional talk.
Have fun with your spouse. Recent studies show the importance of making time to have fun together. This is the second major issue between my clients, they just can not find time to have fun together, but when they look a little bit harder... they normally find extra time for them and their spouses just to have fun and relax !!
Sharon Jayson reports in a USA Today article that "research from the University of Denver supports the idea that finding moments to be together free of financial, family or other stresses -- just to have fun together -- is not an indulgence. "The more you invest in fun and friendship and being there for your partner, the happier the relationship will get over time," says Howard Markman, a psychologist who co-directs the university's Center for Marital and Family Studies.
"The correlation between fun and marital happiness is high, and significant ... Thomas Bradbury, who co-directs the Marriage and Family Development Laboratory and Relationship Institute at the University of California-Los Angeles, believes having fun together can become a self-fulfilling prophecy for couples: "People in happy relationships generate these activities, and as they generate these activities, it keeps their relationship strong and healthy and fresh."
Sex should not be seen as a marathon. Many couples still believe that if they do not have sexual intercourse everyday their marriage is in trouble. Are you part of them? Of course sex is an important part of a couple’s life and must not be underestimated, however, there is not such a thing as the 'ideal' amount of sex during the week to have a healthy marriage, it all depends on many factors, even differs between seasons; what is true is that for every couple this works differently. Take the time to enjoy and make your spouse feel loved and not just a to-do on your list of daily errands.
Time alone. - to be back together- Have you ever heard or said the phrase “I need some space” ? It does not have to be taken negatively; it just means that you need time for yourself. As you take time to relax from work, school, kids, etc... You also need time to be with yourself and evaluate things from far. Take it as a positive experience and do not feel guilty about it, it might just give you more energy to devote to your love ones later on. Vanetta Chapman writes in Christianity Today wrote: "One way to avoid that trap of exhaustion is to allow each other some time alone." I am not talking about taking a month vacation! just an occasional time out for some individual activities such as golf, tennis, a drink with a friend, gardening, etc. may do. Then your appreciation of the time you will spend with your partner will certainly increase.
I could go on and on with many different ideas to renew your marriage, my experience working with couples has given me the tools to bring them out from being stuck in a “boring” marriage into flying in their “happy couple”. Take your marriage to the next step; make love a priority and not just a word, if your marriage fails it might bring heavy consequences for you and the rest of your family. You have the power to refresh it, renew it, re-build it !!!
